I wanted to start this blog when you were first born, but as John Lennon said "Life is what happens while your busy making other plans." So I thought I would start tonight. Your mom is out at a show with your Gram Amy tonight and we had a great time after I got home from work playing with the chickens and taking a bath. I read you three stories - you really love reading books. You get so excited and you are so attentively looking at the pictures. With every fiber of your being and ounce of your waning energy at 7:45P (late to bed for you). I read you Goodnight Moon, Boy of Mine (your favorite), and When The World Goes To Sleep.
I left you in your room to fall asleep and you wouldn't stop chatting. You were so happy and just talking away for about 45 minutes. We usually put you to sleep with music and tonight we played The Grateful Dead. Mellow rock and roll will put him to sleep. LOL
The reason I wanted to start journaling about you is that every day it seems that you learn something new. And whatever you are learning you are so intent upon and fascinated by. Today it was putting things into and through other things. Example: you wanted to pull the straw out and put it back into my drink for about 10 minutes. You were so happy with yourself. Smiling and giggling. Your laughs are the best! Then there was putting things in the bathtub through the colored plastic rings we have for you. Hours of fun.
I love you and I feel so lucky that you came into your mom and my lives. You brighten each day and I can't imagine life without you. You are awesome.
